Need to Convert .xls file to .xlsx using SSIS

Hello,

I am facing a strange issue while loading .xls file using SSIS 2008, when i convert that file into .xlsx i am able to load that file without any issues, or if i edit the same file in .xls format and save back again in .xls format then also i am able to load the same. Can you please guide me how i can convert the file or edit the file and save back
