I have 2 SQL Server 2012 FTP jobs stored in MSDB both accessing outside of domain FTP sites. When the firewall on the server is enabled, only one of the jobs times out and fails and the other one runs successfully; however, if firewall is disabled, both jobs execute just fine. I have port 1433 open. The job that fails when the firewall is enabled, runs just fine from BIDS (now called SQL Server Data Tools in 2012). What am I missing here? Cannot figure it out since one FTP job runs just fine and another one fails when firewall is enabled. Any help/ideas is appreciated. Thx
