I installed SQL Server Express 2012 several months ago so that I could take some online courses. Now I'm taking a course on SSIS and I can't seem to get it installed.

Steps I've taken so far and observations:

1. I've downloaded and installed the evaluation version of SQL Server 2012. From SSMS, Help/About:

Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio                        11.0.5343.0
Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC)                        6.1.7601.17514
     Microsoft MSXML                        3.0 4.0 6.0
     Microsoft Internet Explorer                        9.11.9600.17914
     Microsoft .NET Framework                        4.0.30319.34209
     Operating System                        6.1.7601

2. From Microsoft Visual Studio, Help/About:

Microsoft Visual Studio 2010  Version 10.0.40219.1 SP1Rel   Microsoft .NET Framework   Version 4.5.51209  SP1Rel

Installed Version: IDE Standard

Microsoft Visual Basic 2010   01011-532-2002361-70636   Microsoft Visual Basic 2010

Microsoft Visual C# 2010   01011-532-2002361-70636   Microsoft Visual C# 2010

Microsoft Visual Studio Tools for Applications 3.0   01011-532-2002361-70636   Microsoft Visual Studio Tools for Applications 3.0

Microsoft Visual Web Developer 2010   01011-532-2002361-70636   Microsoft Visual Web Developer 2010
...
SQL Server Analysis Services   Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services Designer   Version 11.0.5058.0

SQL Server Integration Services    Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services Designer   Version 11.0.5058.0

SQL Server Reporting Services   Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services Designers   Version 11.0.5058.0

Visual Studio 2010 Shell (Integrated) - ENU Service Pack 1 (KB983509)   KB983509   This service pack is for Visual Studio 2010 Shell (Integrated) - ENU.   If you later install a more recent service pack, this service pack will be uninstalled automatically.   For more information, visit http://support.microsoft.com/kb/983509.

3. When in Visual Studio, I have a Package.dtsx tab with the message: Microsoft Visual Studio is unable to load this document: To design Integration Services packages in SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT) has to be installed by one of these editions of SQL Server 2012: Standard, Enterprise, Developer, or Evaluation. To install SSDT, run SQL Server Setup and select SQL Server Data Tools.

Question: How can I get SSIS up and running on a Evaluation License? I strongly prefer not to buy the license version for one course. tia.
