This may not be the specific place to post this question and most likely not the place for a beginner to be addressing this mater in general. But if anyone can please lend a hand I'll make it brief.
I open up xampp control panel start Apache & MySQL. I minimize control panel screen and open up my browser and type in localhost:8080 where I should be seeing the xampp splash screen ( or opening page). Just see internet explorer can not open up this page. Have also tried localhost/mytest & localhost/test.html and tried putting http:// in front of each combination. Need help? Thanks.
