Every time i build my package the build number gets updated. I have to manually change to major/minor version numbers as required.
all OK
But when i deploy the package there is no way to see these details in SQL server management studio. When you click on the solution or package and go to properties you just get a deployed date, description and a LSN version.
There seems to be no way to see details of the versions information either at solution or package level, or the date/time of the build.
The LSN it a total wast of time as it is just an incremental number that changes each time the package is deployed, even if you re-deploy the same package.
The logs also do not give any hint of the version of the package/solution run. Luckilly from WITHIN the package we CAN get that information.
Am i missing something or is there some way for people to see all the information related to the packages/Solution deployed?
