I'm trying to read old DTS packages for matches on file names they input or output, tables names they process, or comments that might match a business complaint. Are DTS packages only stored in binary form in MSDB? Are they store outside the database in any readable searchable form? Or is the any way to search all packages for file names, queries, or comments. If not is there any way to reverse engineer they into a readable form. I have over 900 to search. I appreciate any advice.
