Hello All,

I am facing a common error while using excel as source ie. ACE OLEDB provider 12.0 is not installed on your machine .

my System
OS window 7 -  64 Bit
SQL 2012 -      64 Bit
Excel -            32 Bit  (office 2010) on Development , 64 bit (office 2010) on Production

I have read below articles

I tried Installing, Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable

From  HERE But I get confuse as

My Dev environment has Excel as 32 bit but on production client has install Excel 64 bit,

what basic should be deciding whether to install 64 bit or 32 bit(Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable) on Dev and Production.

NOTE: I would creating the package using SSDT ,later will schedule it using SQL Server Agent Job
