Can someone explain to me what the purpose is of using a SAP R3 with SSIS in order to get data out of a SAP system?
Our SAP databases are placed on a SQL Server. SSIS can connect to them directly with (for example) the SQL native driver.
Why would i then use the MS SAP R3 connector (that is part of the feature pack of MS)? What does is add?
In both cases you still need to know the relational schema of the system. So that is not something the R3 connector adds to it.
