SSIS dtsx path id

HI,

Can anyone tell me why in the dtsx files, the path start id is sometimes as a String like startId=Package\Data Flow Task\Sort.Outputs[Sort Output] and sometimes only integer id is given like path id="71" name="OLE DB Source Output" description="" startId="11" endId="57". Whats the exact reason for this
