Adding an Attachment Column into an existing SQL Table

Hi,

I'd like to add a column in an existing table that will open another file in a network server. They are mostly jpg type photo files but I'd like to have an option to open any type of image files. I searched the Internet but could not file a case dealing specifically for this subject.  Thanks
