Teradata Command Timeout won't override

Hi,

Big company, large Teradata warehouse, need to be able to override Command Timeout on a Teradata Connection.   See the Command Timeout Teradata connection property, set it to 1000, come back after I close it and it says its original 30 seconds.  How do I increase it on an ongoing basis? This Teradata connection is a Package Configuration.  I tried setting CommandTimeout in the dtsConfig file (without regenerating the dtsConfig file) and that was ignored too.  Don't see CommandTimeout as a property I can specify when generating a Teradata Connection string with a dtsConfig file.

What is this thing with SSIS accepting developer commands and then reverting back to original values?  That's actually dangerous, you think you set something and you find out you didn't only if you look a 2nd time.  Had the problem here and changed the file name on a File Connection and it set it back to the original value after it let me input it.  If it's not going to accept the value it should tell you that up front.
