What is the best practice to load 300 million records from Progress (Via ODBC) going to the SQL Server 2012 (VM in Azure)

Hi All,

I created an SSIS that will replicate the data of our client going to the SQL Server 2012 (VM in Azure). It takes 5-6 hours to complete the data load into SQL with 300M records in 1 table and just minimal rows for other tables. I used the ODBC Source to get the data from Progress via ODBC and used Balanced Data Distributor (BDD) to segregate the data going to the SQL Server (Ole DB Destination).

VM Specs is below:

Processor: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2673 v4 @ 2.30GHz 2.29GHz

RAM: 26.0 GB

Do I need to upgrade the VM specs?
