Cannot connect to the Excel Spreadsheet using the Excel Data Source is Visual Studio 2017 SSIS Package

I have created an Integration Services project and I'm trying to work my way through training material.I have created an Excel Connection Manager, then a Data Flow Task which, when double-clicked reveals the Excel Source that I have added in from the toolbox.

When I edit this source, I see that it is using the Excel Connection Manager, however, when I click on the "Name of the Excel Sheet" I just get the error "No Tables or Views could be loaded" followed by a "failed to connect to source via Excel Connection Manager".

I have googled this quite a bit, and I understand that the drivers behind the "Excel Connection Manager" may either be not installed are incorrect.

For reference, my setup is as follows:

1. Windows 10 (64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

2. Office 365 32-bit

So when I try and load either 32bit 2016 distributable drivers or 64bit version I get a pop-up error saying that I have 32 bit and can't load 64bit drivers, then vice versa. I thought this a very strange "Catch 22" when the errors kept coming but I get I now understand.

My questions is: can I just uninstall 32-bit Office 365 then re-install 64-bit Office 365 and this will then solve my problems?

What happens to my copy of Visual Studio 2017? Is this 64-bit?The file menu does not seem to offer the same "About?" page as the Office products.

Can anyone help?

Thanks
