My SSIS package is totally vanilla - read a file, upload to a database and look up a couple of values, and then write out the data to another file. When I run it from BIDS through the debugger, I always get "File in use by another process" error on the input file. However, the file is NOT in use in any way. Even with the debugger still running, I am able to delete and rename the file via Windows Explorer. I've tried changing the name of the file, constructing the connection string using a variable in an expression, defining the file connection directlywithout an expression, etc. Anyone have an idea what's going on?
BTW, this is SQL 2008.
