I'm trying to figure out how the content in the "run as" drop down box in an Agent Job affects the permissions needed when trying to run a SSIS package.
The job owner in this case is not a sysadmin (and from what I understand the job owner is the user that will run the job). Now, all the DB permissions needed for the package are within the connection managers inside the package so once the package gets going it should have all the access it needs to the various DB.
But when I run this job, I get an error saying I need a proxy account. So my question is, what permission implications does this "run as" thing have on running my package when all the permissions needed for the various DB access are in the connection managers?
