Row Count Task and global variable

Hello!

I am using the Row Count Transformation. All I want to do is count the number of rows in a table. I see that there is a variable name of User::uRowCount in the task. If I create a global variable called uRowCount will this automatically be populated by the Row Count Transformation variable?
