SSIS Package with excel source failing

Hi,

I have a SSIS package (2005 version). Datasource is excel 97-2003. It was a pre-existing package and I made a few changes to the number of columns. Runs alright in dev env(on server) and BIDS, fails in UAT (2005 version).Could someone suggest if recreating the package from scratch would help?
