connection failed for SQL2000 to sql2008

hi ALL

I have an connection issue in SQL server.

I have one soruce that is SQL 2000 and i have one destination SQL2008.

Now i need to get table from source to destination using SSIS.

But when i create source connection and test it then it give me error.

like ;

server is not found or accessible. Check if instance name is correct and SQL Server is

Configured to allow remote connection.

Could not open a connection.

I have checked that Port are same on both side .

I think it is because Telnet is not enabled foe SQL ..and something like that.

Kindly help me to resolve this issue.
