Hi -
I have been reading questions/answers on this site and others regarding making a connection to Teradata within an SSIS 2008 package. I have set up the 32-bit ODBC data source in my ODBC Administrator and I can successfully run queries in Teradata SQL Assistant with no issues. When I try to set up the connection in SSIS, I am having problems with login credentials:
When setting up my system DSN ODBC connection in the Control Panel, I am told to leave the password field blank (for security purposes) as it must use my Windows PW when I connect, so that field is blank. I then add the data source in my SSIS package and then select 'New Connection from Data Source' in the Connection Manager area. When I test it, it works (well, it did, now I have messed with it too much), but the password I enter in the connection manager settings doesn't seem to save. After researching, I found that adding the password in an XML package config file seemed to be the answer. I have done that, but still having problems. I have been researching online for several hours all to no avail.
I am sure I haven't provided enough information, but was hoping someone could assist in some general suggestions regarding Teradata/config files or anything that they think I might look at or try. I would greatly greatly appreciate it.
