I'm confused about how to use the Configuration Manager in BIDS, specifically as related to SSIS.
My understanding is that you can set up various enviornments (like Development, Production, etc.) in BIDS and by doing so you can change run-time characteristics like connection strings, paramaters, etc. So, if my current configuration is Development, I'll be running on my local workstation. If it's Production, I'll run on the server.
But here's the thing: I can't for the life of me figure out how to edit these things. BIDS is delivered with 4 configurations: Debug, DebugLocal, Development and Production. The only thing that the Configuation Manager will let me do is rename them.
What am I missing? How do I edit the configuration?
