Export of table where an nvarchar column rarely contains Chinese characters fails

I have a table in a database that is controlled by someone other than me that has to be exported regularly and all the string columns are defined as nvarchar.  I use SSIS to do the export and it works fine most of the time, but after a few weeks Chinese characters started appearing, which is not a violation of the business rules since some of their customers are Chinese, but it does cause the export to fail when it hits the column.

So far they have been willing to accept the loss of the record since there are so few of them, but it is a pain to respond every few days to a failure of the export by manually altering or deleting a record based on which of the columns failed.

So the question is, how can these columns be handled in SSIS?  Is it as simple as changing the code page in the package, or do I need some other method?  I don't use SSIS for anything but simple imports and exports, so this is new to me.

Thanks in advance for any help you could offer.
