We have many monthly SSIS packages that update our reporting tables. When the tables are updated, the SSIS packages update the data connections in a number of Excel files. These Excel files query the freshly updated tables and create intricatly formated reports. Many of these reports are linked to PowerPoints that are then used by various levels of management to present and review their departments.
Right now we have SSIS updating the tables, and refreshing the Excell spreadsheets, but then someone has to open up the PowerPoint, refresh the data links, and then email the new PowerPoint off.
Is there a way to refresh the PowerPoint links as well through SSIS? If we could automate that, we could automate the entire report distribution process including PowerPoint.
Thank you,
