task display issue in the package

I came across one of the SSIS packages which appears to be corrupted in some manner.
 The package seems to be running fine in production, however, when we try to open the package the tasks does not appear and appears as blank boxes. I am concerned that if it fails in production, we will be unable to troubleshoot it. In current stage it has become difficult to make any changes to the existing package.
