SSIS ODBC connection Error HY000

Hi, 

I have configured an ODBC connection to an IBMi system to create an extract and push data to Salesforce. However, when I 'test connection'  an HY000 error is thrown.  

I have never encountered this error. Anyone know what can causes it and how to resolve? I've googled and am able to verify that it's a general error see below: But not sure I undersand what this means. Any  help is greatly appreciated. 

Windows OS is 64 bit, and ODBC is 64bit as well. See attached image of the error: 

• An error occurred for which there was no specific SQLSTATE and for which no implementation-specific SQLSTATE was defined. The error message returned by SQLGetDiagRec in the *<var>MessageText</var> buffer describes the error and its cause.
• All ODBC functions except:

  SQLError

  SQLGetDiagField

  SQLGetDiagRec
